Rainbow of Hope

I am not a cancer survivor, nor have I ever been diagnosed with having the disease. Nonetheless, in two short years, cancer has managed to change my life. In that time, I have lost three of the most important people in my life to cancer. Unfortunately however, I know that I am not alone and that my story is not unique. Cancer affects us all. I decided that cancer has taken so much from so many, that now it’s time to take back! The goals of Rainbow of Hope Inc. are to raise cancer awareness among Canadians, build a support network for patients and their families and help raise funds for research and other cancer related programs and/or services. Rainbow of Hope Inc. was created out of the pain, hurt, sorrow, grief, anguish and frustration I felt over the loss of my loved ones and from the drive and determination to help change the outcome for others. Unfortunately I can not change history, and I can not get all my loved ones back, but hopefully through the work of Rainbow of Hope Inc. and with your help, we can help change the future! For every life that is saved, extended or for every diagnosis that has a happy ending, we will have succeeded in taking back from cancer, what it has taken from so many,…life!
